Getting Around FieldGenius
Learn how to navigate the FieldGenius mobile app — bottom nav, company switching, job list, and profile settings.
FieldGenius is a mobile-first app designed to be used entirely on a phone or tablet — on the road, on a job site, or offline. Every core action is reachable within two taps.
Bottom Navigation Bar
The bottom nav is your primary way to move around the app. Five icons are always visible:

| Wrench | Active Job | Jump back into your current job |
| Truck | Truck | Manage your truck inventory |
| Clipboard | Inspection | Run a vehicle inspection form |
| Person | Profile | Account settings and preferences |
Tap any icon to switch screens instantly. The Active Job icon shows a badge when a job is in progress.
Logging In
Open the app and enter your email and password. If your account is linked to multiple companies (multi-tenant), you'll land on the Company Select screen after login.
Switching Companies
If you work across multiple organizations — for example, as a contractor for several businesses — the Company Select screen lets you choose which company's jobs and data to load.
- Tap your avatar or company name in the top-left corner of any screen.
- The company list appears with your available organizations.
- Tap a company to switch context. The app reloads jobs, pricing, and settings for that company.
Your last selected company is remembered between sessions.
Profile & Settings
Tap the Person icon in the bottom nav to open your profile.
From here you can:
- Update your display name and phone number
- Change your notification preferences
- Toggle dark mode
- View your app version and session details
- Sign out
Push notifications must be enabled at the OS level (iOS Settings or Android Settings) for job assignment alerts to reach you.
Orientation Tips
- Pull to refresh on any list screen to force-sync with the server.
- Long-press a job card for quick actions: navigate, call customer, mark en route.
- The app auto-locks to portrait mode on phones and supports landscape on tablets.
